Do you need to see how your vehicle will perform when the going gets tough? Or perhaps you need to verify that it meets international standards? At FMV Test and Evaluation (T&E), we’ll steer your vehicle and system testing in the right direction.
We have all you need to validate that your vehicle is behaving as expected across a range of terrains and climate challenges. Whether it’s main battle tanks, combat vehicles or tactical wheeled vehicles, you’ll find a variety of routes and obstacles with which to perform thorough vehicle mobility tests.
Stay on track with terrain and obstacle handling
At our FMV Land Test Centre in Skövde, you can put your vehicle to the test, with facilities including a 3 km test track with both dirt and asphalt for on- and off-road testing. We also offer:
- Concrete ramps with up to 40° angle
- Weighbridge for determining a vehicle’s centre of gravity
- Vertical obstacles
- Fording basin with depths up to 2.5m
- Static test rig for the rubber tracks on all-terrain vehicles (ATVs)
- Track for vibration testing

Meet international civil and military standards
Our experienced staff can support your T&E project, helping you to verify and validate your vehicles or systems – whether to international standards or in accordance with the criteria of your choice.
We can also measure noise levels inside the vehicle to ensure they aren’t harmful to the occupants, as well as offer a variety of cold climate and deep snow tests, including firings from the vehicle.
